David Payami is an Associate Broker at Capital Property Partners. Mr. Payami has been highly active in the real estate field and had the opportunity to experiment within different aspects of the real estate field, ranging from property management to acquisitions and sales. Mr. Payami is a well-rounded individual that focuses on asset classes consisting of Development, Office, Mixed-Use, Industrial, and Retail. Yet he is not limited to other asset types.
He started his career as a retailer, having a retail presence in Chelsea, Harlem, and the Lower East Side. Yet, real estate was always a passion for Mr. Payami, and he dabbled in residential and commercial leasing in his free time. The side hustle and passion quickly turned into a career, and he closed his shop to focus on real estate full time. With his vast knowledge and trustworthy reputation, he was trusted to manage a portfolio of rental properties, he quickly excelled at that position and was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Leasing. With a thirst for success Mr. Payami joined Capital Property Partners and turned his attention to commercial sales and acquisitions with an emphasis on multifamily properties, industrial properties and 1031 exchanges.
Mr. Payami graduated from St. John’s University where he earned a dual degree in both Marketing and Business Management. His natural gift for learning languages has enabled him to be fluent in several languages including Farsi and Spanish.
On his time off Mr. Payami enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and backgammon. He also volunteers countless hours to his community and local synagogue.
